DUKE OF EDINBURGH
BRONZE AWARD

WHAT IS A DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD?

College is not just about lectures, assignments, and exams. It's also about making friends, trying new experiences, being active and healthy or pursuing an interest or activity. The DofE takes you into a place where you'll push yourself and have amazing new experiences

THE BENEFITS OF DUKE OF EDINBURGH

You'll build confidence, resilience, skills, friendship groups and have a brilliant time in doing it. It gives you the added benefit of gaining a competitive edge as employers regard a DofE Award highly so it will help open the right doors for you. In addition, many of these skills can be applied to your studies as well as your personal and social development.

LEVELS AND TIMESCALES

There are three programme levels which, when successfully completed, lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Green Labyrinth will be offering The Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award for Study Programme learners.
The main differences between them are the minimum length of time they take to complete, how challenging they are and the minimum age you can start. Activities for each DofE section take a minimum of one hour a week over a set period of time, making it flexible around academic study, hobbies and social lives. As a result, development and regular progress must be shown and all activities completed by the participant's 25th Birthday.

COSTS

The Welcome Pack and participation fee for the Bronze Award will be supported by Green Labyrinth.
There is a bursary that can be claimed for things such as boots, jackets, kits, expeditions etc.
So don't let costs be the thing that puts you off this great opportunity
