The study programmes annual Careers Fair has been hailed a major success, offering students an inspiring and practical insight into future career pathways, apprenticeship opportunities and further study options.
Held on site earlier this term, the event welcomed a wide range of employers, training providers and education partners from across Swindon. Learners attended, with many taking full advantage of the opportunity to speak directly with industry professionals, ask questions and gain valuable advice about their next steps.
One student commented:
“I’ve made contacts for future work experience and learned what courses will help me get there.”
This year’s Careers Fair featured representatives from sectors including engineering, creative industries, hair and beauty, the railways, and business. Employers praised students for their enthusiasm and professionalism, with several commenting on the high quality of conversations held throughout the day.
One employer commented:
“I thought it was a lovely event. I met so many delightful young people.”
Plans are already underway to build on this success and make next year’s Careers Fair even bigger and better.
